Salon Terms & Conditions

Here at Barkber, we strive to have the highest standards for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. To ensure that all pets are our number one priority we have terms and conditions in place to help us achieve them together.
We respectfully ask all our clients and prospective clients to read through these to keep our facility running smoothly. As with anything else you see and read on our site, we appreciate questions, suggestions, and concerns.

Current Vaccination

All dogs being serviced in BARKBER must be current on their rabies vaccination and provide documentation of such. All puppies must be at least 3.5 months old and current on their puppy series vaccines Eurican E7 / Vanguard Plus 5L4CV (+ DEFENSOR 3 / Rabies). Special circumstances will be taken into consideration. We take no responsibility for your dog contracting any viral diseases while staying with us.


Collars & Leashes

Because our place is located on a highly traveled road, ALL DOGS MUST ARRIVE AND LEAVE ON LEASHES OR IN A PET CARRIER. Even if your dog does not generally walk on a leash, they can be unpredictable at times, so to ensure everyone remains safe, please walk your dog to and from your car on a leash or in a pet carrier. No retractable leashes allowed.


Reservations

Reservations must be arranged with a minimum notice of 24 hours before your intended arrival time to guarantee availability. For booking inquiries, please don't hesitate to contact our administrative team either by phone or chat at +62 822 9999 7273.


Pricing

Prices given beforehand are rough estimates. We consider factors like your dog's fur, skin, weight, and behavior. Each pet gets customized grooming based on their breed, coat, and size. We aim for fair rates that match each pet's needs and grooming time.


Punctuality

Please ensure punctuality for your scheduled appointments, as our staff's availability is arranged according to the booked times. Kindly consider our operating hours when scheduling your visits. A 15-minute grace period is allowed, but exceeding this may result in a late drop-off or pickup fee for HOURLY DAYCARE services. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.


Early Drop Off / Late Pick Up

If you need to drop off your pet prior to our working hours, we provide an early drop off service at a rate of HOURLY DAYCARE. If you need to pick up your pet after close, we provide a late pick-up service at a rate of HOURLY DAYCARE per hour.


Cancellations / No Call-No Show

Because BARKBER book on an hourly basis and cancellations can leave an empty block in the schedule that could have otherwise been used by another customer, we ask that any rescheduling or cancellations be made at least 24 business hours in advance. If you do not call to cancel and do not show up to your appointment, this is considered a “no call, no show” and an upfront full payment of the service will apply and is required to be paid before next appointment may be scheduled. We understand there may be emergency situations and will work with you, but not on a continued basis. Note: Clients 15 minutes late risk losing their appointment without notice.


Pre-groom Consultation

We will groom your dog to your specifications, which will be discussed in the pre-groom consultation. If you are sending your pet in with a friend/ family member/ helper, please send written instructions or give us a quick call to confirm your requirement. This eliminates any confusion which can occur when receiving a client wishes 'second hand'. If you book your appointments via chat, you can leave your instructions in the chat available, in as much detail as you wish. We always read through a client appointment notes prior to the groom.


Expectations for Duration

We strive to get dogs in and out as quickly as possible, but that all depends on what they allow us to do. Some dogs are sensitive to the dryers, brushing, cutting of the nails - just to name a few - in that case we go at the rate the dog is comfortable with. A good estimation of how long they will be here depending on what service you are getting and their personality. Expect them to be here between 1 to 4 hours.


Mat Removal

If your dog is matted, we will try our best to de-matt and brush out the tangled hair on your dog, if possible, there is an extra charge for De-matting in addition to the base grooming fee quoted. In the case where your dog’s coat is severely matted, we may need to shave down your dog as severe matting can cause dermatitis, skin irritation and other possible issues. During the de-matting or shave down process, although we are very careful, skin irritation, minor nicks, and stress may occur on your dogs, depending on the severity of the mats. As the owner, you will release BARKBER from any and all responsibilities resulting from shaving or de-matting a matted dog. We will attempt to call you in the event that your dog must be shaved down due to matting if not otherwise agreed upon. If we are unable to reach you, we will do what we deem safest for your dog’s health and well-being.


Aggressive / Dangerous Dogs

While we have a great deal of experience and success in the grooming of difficult dogs, BARKBER reserves the right to muzzle your dog or ask you to muzzle your own dog or to refuse to groom it if it represents a danger to his or herself, to staff or to other dogs in the salon. Unless this has been discussed and agreed beforehand, BARKBER reserve the right to turn your dog away without grooming it. Full or part of the grooming charge may apply.


Health / Medical Problems & Senior Dogs

It is our goal to take special care with each and every dog we groom. Some dogs may have pre-existing conditions that we may not be made aware of. Grooming can be stressful and may expose a hidden condition. This can occur during or after grooming and may require immediate medical attention. If a situation should arise during grooming, we will stop the grooming process immediately and make every effort to contact you. In the event that you are unable to be reached, BARKBER may need to contact the nearest vet and seek medical attention. All expenses for Veterinary care are the responsibility of the dog’s owner. Please do aware and understand that BARKBER employees are not veterinarians and do not have backgrounds in animal medicine. BARKBER employees cannot diagnose or detect illnesses in all dogs that are coming to BARKBER.


Accidents

Every effort to ensure that your dog is groomed as safely as possible, but there is always the possibility an accident may occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care, it is still possible to injure a dog. Injuries may include, but are not limited to cuts, nicks, scratches, overcut quick nails, brush burn, etc. In most cases this can happen when a dog is wiggling or moving around. If you arrive to pick up your dog and it is still being groomed, please do NOT talk to it, or allow it to see you. Sit quietly, or step outside for a few moments. Some dogs also may have reactions to grooming products or procedures such as shaving, ear plucking, etc.


Fleas/Ticks

The groomer will check for fleas or ticks during the pre-groom consultation and will advise you if your dog needs to be treated. Fleas or ticks found more than 5 will be removed for an additional charge. If more fleas or ticks are found on your dog during the grooming process, your dog will be treated with a Flea and Tick shampoo to kill the parasites and you will be charged an additional fee. Please note that parasites are a health hazard to your pet as well as to humans. You will be advised to treat your dog and your home environment to eradicate the problem


Payment

Due to the nature of dog grooming all quoted prices prior to actually grooming your dog are only estimates. Final price will depend on the temperament of each dog and the condition of its coat. Upon physical inspection of your dog by the groomer a good faith estimated price will be provided. Extra charges may apply for dogs that are matted and/or difficult to manage. Payment is due at time of pick-up.


Satisfaction

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy for any reason, and would like minor adjustment, we will be happy to make the adjustment when you pick-up your dog from his/her appointment. We also understand that your dog is excited to see you when you pick them up, making it hard to closely evaluate the grooming result. If, once you get home, you decide that you would like minor adjustment, please call us and we’ll make arrangements. You must call us and bring your dog in within 48 hours of picking them up from their appointment, otherwise a fee may apply.


Photo Release

BARKBER may take photos of your dog before, during or after grooming. These photos may be utilized for social media, website, or advertising purposes.


Violation

BARKBER staffs work extremely hard, and care for each dog as if they were their own. Any abusive language or behavior towards our staffs or other visitors to the salon will not be tolerated.

Our Terms & Conditions, as well as our rates, may change occasionally. It is the owners' responsibility to ensure they are familiar with all current BARKBER Terms and Conditions and rates.
